Comment le jouer
Vex, Gloomist draws you a card whenever you hold a battlefield, and Vex, Mocking walks to any battlefield where you stun an enemy. The plan is to hold cheaply, stun what attacks you, and make every fight the opponent starts cost them a card and a turn while the legend pays you for standing still.
Mulligans: keep Mutated Mouser or Disarming Rake, one of Back Off or Skyward Strike, and a Star-Crossed or Gust. Send back hands with two five-costs or no unit under four.
Early game: Mutated Mouser is a Tank with Shield 2, a 3 on defence for two energy, which is how you hold a battlefield on turn one and draw from the legend on turn two. Disarming Rake kills a gear on arrival. Bewitching Spirit makes them discard. En Garde swings the first fights for one energy, and Skyward Strike moves an enemy unit out of a fight you do not want, or stuns it once you have 6 XP, which also calls Vex, Mocking over.
Mid game: Back Off stuns a unit and draws a card from hand, or sits hidden and stuns for free in a showdown; either way Vex, Mocking moves to that battlefield and the stunned unit deals no damage to her. Monch then costs two less and enters ready while they have a stunned unit. Star-Crossed returns one of yours and one of theirs: your Spirit or Rake comes back to play its effect again. Gust bounces a 3 Might unit at reaction speed. Tornado Warrior played from hidden Empowers a unit for the turn, Tail-Cloaked Matriarch Empowered replays a three-cost unit from your trash, Gust Monk gives Assault 2 for one extra energy.
Late game: Angler Beast returns every unit of 2 Might or less to hand, which clears their tokens and refunds your own Mouser and Spirit to replay. Boots of Swiftness gives Ganking, so a Mouser or Vex moves to the fight that matters. Ravenbloom Prefect banishes itself to banish a gear the opponent plays. Abandoned Hall gives a unit +1 every time you play a spell, Star Spring sends a wounded unit home when you play another there, Startipped Peak channels a rune when you hold.
Mistakes to avoid: - Playing Back Off from hand on an open battlefield; it is a reaction to an attack, not a turn-one play - Spending Skyward Strike on a token - Forgetting the legend after a hold; the draw is the whole engine - Walking Vex, Mocking into a fight with no stun to follow her
