Deck tech: how to pilot it
This deck does one thing all the way: fill the trash as fast as possible and use it as ammunition: Nocturne pressures the mid-game and a flood of cheap Rhasas closes. The longer the game runs, the cheaper the ammunition gets.
The game plan
Almost every card here has one job: grow the trash. Rhasa the Sunderer gets cheaper as the trash gets bigger, and past a point you can pour several into one turn: 18+ total might on one battlefield is a wall almost nothing breaks.
While the wall assembles, three Nocturne, Horrifying are the mid-game punches that force early answers, and a Seal of Discord set ahead of time makes our big turn bigger than they budgeted for.
Mulligan
The opener you want is Lightning Rush + Traveling Merchant: it draws you forward and feeds the trash at the same time. Always keep these.
A Rhasa in the opener is not a dead card if the engine came with it (Lightning Rush, Stacked Deck). By midgame it will be cheap enough. With no engine, two or more Rhasas is a mulligan.
Early game
Always lead with your strongest battlefield going first: winning the opening exchange matters most. Spend the early turns feeding the trash: Stacked Deck, Gust and Traveling Merchant discards are the engine’s coal.
Count before you commit the big turn: Rhasa reads its discount at cast time, so one more discard first is often a free energy.
Sequencing is everything
The big turn is set up one turn ahead: place Seal of Discord first, then untap into the full Rhasa turn. Burn the rune colors you are not using first, always.
A wall that moves is scarier than one that stands: Ride the Wind carries the pile to the battlefield where the points are about to happen.
Tricks and answers
Switcheroo and Star-Crossed look alike but differ where it counts: Star-Crossed can be answered, Switcheroo barely can. When you must WIN the combat, hold Switcheroo.
Numbers worth memorizing: hold five energy when you can, and an 18-might wall on one battlefield is close to unbreakable for a turn.
