Rengar, Pridestalker

How to play : Rengar Pridestalker

The meta's sharpest aggro deck — win the first showdown, then press with bigger threats every turn until the answers run out.

Our take: Worth building

The strongest aggro line right now — it can outpunch anything, but one lost beat and there is no comeback plan.

Deck tech: how to pilot it

This deck asks one question every turn: “how do you answer THIS?” Win the first showdown, take the lead, then send in something bigger until they run out of answers.

The plan

The early game is everything: Inferna attacks as a 3 and beats every 2-might opener, Faefolk drags their unit into a showdown you chose. Ambush hides your real numbers: the not-knowing is the damage.

  • Inferna
  • Irresistible Faefolk
  • Thrill of the Hunt

Mulligan

A keepable hand has turn one-and-two plays: Inferna, Faefolk, Pit Rookie. Two of the three is enough, the draw engine brings the rest. No opener at all is an instant mulligan; never keep for the big cards.

  • Inferna
  • Irresistible Faefolk
  • Pit Rookie

The draw engine

Most aggro decks lose when the hand empties. This one refills while it presses: Kai’Sa, Kinkou Initiate and Nidalee draw as they fight. Play them first when you can; every card drawn is the next punch.

  • Kai'Sa, Survivor
  • Kinkou Initiate
  • Nidalee, Cat Form

The mid-game punch

Once they turtle, the showdown units come out: Rengar and Darius win almost every trade, Pyke is the one-shot burst nobody counts, and Thrill of the Hunt is the signature. Save it for the showdown you must win.

  • Rengar, Trophy Hunter
  • Darius, Trifarian
  • Pyke, Dockside Butcher
  • Thrill of the Hunt

The weakness

Pure aggro has no comeback plan: behind means losing. So Sabotage and Punch First are never value trades: spend them only when they protect the lead.

  • Sabotage
  • Punch First
