Master Yi, Wuju Bladesman

How to play : Master Yi Wuju

The strongest fundamentals deck in the game — hold battlefields behind the legend's +2 might and make every turn the opponent's problem.

Our take: What we would sleeve up

A real tournament winner that is easy to pilot, teaches the game, and is the cheapest top deck to build.

Deck tech: how to pilot it

One idea, mastered: a lone unit defending Master Yi’s battlefield gets +2 might for free. Hold early, let the score run, and make it the opponent’s headache.

The plan

Park a cheap unit and let the +2 work: if they ignore it you score free, if they burn a spell on a small unit you gain cards, if they send something big you get a shot at their key piece. Every branch pays you.

  • Scuttle Crab

Mulligan

Keep the opening units that draw: Lonely Poro (a 4-might defender with the bonus) and Scuttle Crab (ties every early 2-drop). Always keep Master Yi, Tempered: the deck’s guaranteed turn-two.

The six-rune ramp

The curve costs no power, so six runes on turn three is safe. That is the turn to land Ruin Runner or Rengar, always with one energy left up for a trick.

  • Ruin Runner
  • Rengar, Trophy Hunter

The small spells

Charm does two jobs: drag their unit into a showdown you win, or push a defender home to open a conquer. Punch First and Defy buy tempo, not value: in this deck position beats cards.

Weakness and the new tools

Spell-heavy removal decks are the hard games, but every spell they spend on your cheap units is gone when the big ones arrive. Sabotage and Back Off are this build’s tempo answers, and Zhonya’s Hourglass saves the piece that must not die.
